The Analysis of the Possibility of Feeding a Liquid Catalyst to a Coal Dust Channel

Abstract: This article presents the concept of a method of improving the dynamics of combustion in boilers operating in power plants, cogeneration plants, and heating plants by introducing a catalyst that is fed with a carrier in the form of droplets. Thanks to the proposed method, a greater degree of fuel burnout can be obtained, which, in turn, results in lower energy consumption in the case of producing the same amount of power. The parameters of the emitted exhaust gases and ash are also improved. The method describ… Show more

“…It was observed that an increase in temperature from 293 K to 308 K causes an increase in the Colburn modulus j m by about 3%. The process conditions were mapped on the basis of real data for a dust duct supplying coal dust to an existing coal dust boiler at a combined heat and power (CHP) plant in Poland [24].…”

“…The data were obtained for the aerosol temperature of 293 K particles with diameters ranging from 0.1 to 100 µ m. It was observed that an in temperature from 293 K to 308 K causes an increase in the Colburn modulus jm 3%. The process conditions were mapped on the basis of real data for a dust duc ing coal dust to an existing coal dust boiler at a combined heat and power (CHP Poland [24]. The temperature in the dust duct was >100 °C, while the temperature of the f was around 20-35 °C.…”
