The anterior fontanel size and its relation to serum 25(OH)D3 concentration

Abstract: The evaluation of the anterior fontanel is an important element of pediatric examination. Too large or too small fontanel (evaluated by the investigator) in relation to child's age raises a suspicion of a disease. The anterior fontanel size is assumed to be related to the level of vitamin D, so physicians consider modifying its dose used in supplementation.
