Ikan koi (Cyprinus carpio) merupakan salah satu komoditas ikan hias air tawar yang memiliki nilai ekonomi dan peminat yang sangat tinggi. Ikan koi umumnya diantar pulaukan melalui darat, Kondisi ini dapat menyebabkan koi menjadi stress, yang berdampak pada penurunan kesehatan bahkan munculnya penyakit. Salah satu indikator gangguan kesehatan koi dapat dilihat dari adanya E.coli. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bakteri Escherichia coli pada ikan koi yang dipelihara di kolam isolasi pada masa karantina dengan menggunakan 19 sampel isolat feses dari swab rektum yang kemudian dibawa ke BBVET Denpasar untuk dilakukan isolasi dan identifikasi bakteri E. coli. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan observasi eksploratif dengan metode cross sectional sedangkan sampel diambil dengan cara pusposive sampling. Serta data yang diperoleh disajikan secara deskriftif kualitatif. Hasil pada penelitian ini diketahui dari 19 sampel yang diperiksa menunjukan lima sampel positif bakteri Escherichia coli (26,3%) diantaranya tiga sampel (15,9%) berasal dari koi Tulungagung dan dua sampel (10,3%) berasal dari koi Blitar.

Water quality monitoring is a key component in the management of these important water resources and ecosystems. Biological indicators can be monitored continuously and are easy instructions for monitoring the occurrence of pollution. One of the biological parameters that can be used as a marker of environmental conditions is plankton. zooplankton can be used as study material to determine the quality and water productivity. The method used in this research is descriptive to determine the water quality condition in the estuary of the Kalimireng river biologically through the identification and characterization of zooplankton. Observations of plankton identification, plankton abundance, dominance index, and characterization of zooplankton were analyzed by fluorescence microscope observation. Three species of zooplankton were found in the waters of the Kalimireng estuary, Leptodiaptomus sp., Canthocamptus staphylinus, and Diaphanosoma bracyurum. Zooplankton is more abundant in water conditions at high tide compared to water conditions at low tide. At high tide, the highest abundance value was obtained at the station I at week 3, 843 ind/mL. At low tide, the highest abundance value was obtained at the station I at week 2,251 ind/L. The highest Dominance Index (D) at tidal water conditions is shown at station 2. This indicates that there is a community that dominates at that station.

Zooplankton is an important bio-indicator of ecosystem integrity. The present study aimed to evaluate zooplankton community and measure some physical and chemical characteristics of the water, during the period from September 2020 to August 2021. Samples were collected from 15 sites located in the River Nile and its tributaries (26°9'18.22"N and 32°42'57.64"E) at Qena Governorate. Eleven representatives of water samples were collected to measure physicochemical parameters, including temperature, pH, total dissolved solids, conductivity, turbidity, dissolved oxygen and some heavy metals (manganese, copper, zinc, chrome and cobalt). Investigation of the physio-chemical parameters showed that pH, turbidity, dissolved oxygen, total dissolved solids, and conductivity recorded maximum values in winter. Heavy metals such as cobalt (Co) recorded the highest concentration in winter and the lowest in autumn. Chromium (Cr) recorded the highest concentration in autumn and the lowest in spring. Manganese (Mn) recorded the highest concentration in spring and the lowest in autumn. Copper (Cu) and zinc (Zn) concentrations reached their highest in summer and lowest in autumn. On the other hand, Cladocera and Copepoda were the most dominant populations, which were negatively correlated with water temperature (r=-0.474) and (r=-0.118), respectively.While, they were positively correlated with total dissolved solids, conductivity, turbidity and cobalt.
