Abstract:Photon‐induced molecular dissociation increases the portion of radical reactions which in general can be treated in the framework of chemical equilibrium kinetics of the translational degrees of freedom of the reagents. In particular an “inversion” of the Arrhenius equation gives a reactive “Arrhenius” cross section which shows a wide (but limited) spectrum of possibilities describing bimolecular gas phase reactions in the framework of Arrhenius kinetics. The occurrence of charged particles and energy‐rich cos… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
