Abstract: The partitivirids feature an icosahedral protein coating accommodating both their dsRNA genome and RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRP). This signifies that transcription and replication activities of the viral polymerase occur within the capsid, emphasizing that the viral cycle relies on polymerase incorporation.
