“…A Study using Census data from the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health in the United States showed a correlation between negative school experiences, particularly peer rejection and bullying, and the development of depression and anxiety among adolescents (Coley et al, 2018) sense of school connectedness reduces the likelihood of young people experiencing adolescent depression and anxiety (Shochet et al, 2006).
