The Association Between Interleukin-10 Gene Polymorphism And Il-10 Levels In Geohelminth Positive Adolescents And Adults In West Sumatera

Abstract: Geohelminth infection can cause nutritional disorder and anemia. Behind these negative effect, worms turned out to provide protective effect on a number of diseases such as allergies and inflammations. This is related to its ability to modulate the host's immune response via Th-2, characterized by an increase production of Interleukin 10 (IL-10) which is an anti inflammatory cytokine.
