This paper presents an analysis of two different model-based predictive control (MBPC) algorithms applied to the current regulation of dual three-phase induction machine (DTPIM). These algorithms are implemented by simulations using the concept of reduced-order observers to estimate the rotor currents. A comparative analysis of the performance of the proposed control techniques are evaluated using the Luenberger Observer (LO) and the optimal estimator based on Kalman Filter (KF). The results obtained through simulations are compared with the reference obtained by the conventional solution in which the rotor currents as opposed to being estimated are calculated from the dynamic equations of the machine. These results validate the excellent dynamic performance and the efficiency of the proposed methods.Keywords-Model-based predictive control (MBPC), Kalman Filter (KF), Luenberger Observer (LO), dual three-phase induction machine (DTPIM).
