The Audiovisual Portfolio: An Answer to the Teacher Competency Question

Abstract: Hiring beginning teachers with traditional screening and interviewing methods can be a difficult task. This writer suggests that applicants be required to provide an audiovisual portfolio for inspection. This would, he claims, give the prospective employer a clear idea of the applicant's actual teaching style and ability.
