The Basıc Skılls in Socıal Studıes Textbooks

Abstract

Bu çalışmada 2018 yılında güncellenen Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretim Programında yer alan temel becerilerin 5, 6 ve 7’ nci sınıf sosyal bilgiler ders kitaplarında nasıl yer aldığı araştırılmıştır. Öğretim programında 27 adet temel beceri vurgulanmış ve bu beceriler tek tek açıklanmasa da her bir öğrenme alanında kazandırılması hedeflenen beceriler yer almıştır. Ancak bu becerilerin ders kitaplarına yansıyıp yansımadığı veya nasıl yansıdığı önemli bir problem durumu olarak görülmelidir. Nitekim temel becerilerin öğrencilere kazandırılmasında ders kitapları oldukça önemli bir yere sahiptir. Bu amaçla bu çalışmada öğretim programında vurgulanan temel becerilerin sosyal bilgiler 5, 6 ve 7’nci sınıf ders kitaplarına nasıl yansıdığı ve dolayısıyla ders kitaplarında bu becerilerin, hangi öğrenme alanlarında, hangi örneklerle yer aldığı incelenmiştir. Bu doğrultuda doküman incelemesi yöntemi yoluyla sosyal bilgiler 5, 6 ve 7’nci sınıf ders kitapları incelenmiş ve her bir öğrenme alanında yer verilen örnekler, etkinlikler vs. analiz edilerek bu becerilerin ders kitaplarında nasıl yer aldığı anlaşılmaya çalışılmıştır. Buna göre bu ders kitaplarında temel becerilerin çeşitli etkinlik ve içeriklerle örneklendirildiği ve öğretim programında ilgili öğrenme alanında kazandırılması hedeflenen becerilerin ön plana çıkarılmaya çalışıldığı görülmüştür. Özellikle 5’inci sınıf düzeyinde daha fazla temel beceriye yer verildiğini görmekteyiz. Diğer yandan gerek öğretim programında gerekse de incelenen ders kitaplarında bu becerilerin kazanımlarla ilişkilendirilmediği ve hangi becerilerin, hangi konular dahilinde öğrencilere kazandırılacağına dair bir ifadeye yer verilmediği görülmüştür.
