Abstract: Context. Among the most powerful cosmic events, supernovae (SNe) and γ´ray bursts (GRBs) can be highly disruptive for life: their radiation can be harmful for biota or induce extinction by removing most of the protective atmospheric ozone layer on terrestrial planets.
