The Biology of Aseptic Osteolysis

Abstract: Total hip arthroplasty is one of the most commonly performed and successful elective orthopaedic procedures. However, numerous failure mechanisms limit the long-term success including aseptic osteolysis, aseptic loosening, infection, and implant instability.
