Abstract: Bacteriophages may express multiple receptor binding proteins, enabling the recognition of distinct and diverse bacterial receptors for infection of a broad range of strains. Ackermannviridae phages recognize diverse O-antigens or K-antigens as receptors by expressing multiple tail spike proteins (TSPs).
