Abstract:Several properties of the Compton neutron detector with Hf emitter have been studied in the article. Using the MCNPX program it was shown how the absorption properties can degrade during the 4 fuel campaigns in WWER1000 core. The nuclide composition of the emitter material was calculated for several coaxial layers in order to find out the burn-up profile. To assess the unevenness of the neutron irradiation, the neutron losses within the emitter layers were calculated.
