Abstract: Chronic infection with the human bacterial pathogen Helicobacter pylori causes gastritis and predisposes carriers to an increased gastric cancer risk. Consequently, H. pylori-specific vaccination is widely viewed as a promising strategy of gastric cancer prevention.
