On the example of plasma cutting of 1.0038 steel, the features of hydroabrasive (EPS) cleaning are shown. The basic requirements for the quality of the cut surface and a wide range of material properties due to the characteristics of the power tool are formulated. The formation of the heat-affected zone, its structure and properties, the formation of macro- and microgeometry of the cut depending on the working gas used are described. The influence of plasma cutting parameters on ensuring the necessary quality and properties of steel is considered.
