The Catcher in the Water: Magnetic Biochar for the Treatment of Wastewater

Abstract: Magnetic biochar (MBC) is obtained from the same raw materials used to have biochar. With inclusion of iron or addition of magnetic precursors, biochar turns into a material which has magnetic separation capabilities. Defined as a win-win material for the treatment of wastewater pollution, here we consider MBC for those specific applications where it is acting as a ''catcher in the water''.
