The Challenge of drought in Costa Rica: A Preliminary Research with Economic Implications

Abstract: In recent decades, Costa Rica has been characterized by the expansion of the forested frontier. More than half of the national territory has forest cover. Despite this, severe drought phenomena in the country compromise the stability of productive units and ecosystems. This article aims to contribute to the approach to drought control.
