In regards to older adults, it is possible that the nation is slowly realizing that older adults are not only living longer with HIV and AIDS, but they are also becoming infected later in life, raising additional awareness to some degree in the aging population, leading to a reduction in risk behaviors reported (Jacobs & Thomlison, 2009;Levy-Dweck, 2005;Stall & Catania, 1994;Winningham et al, 2004) . There have been several HIV prevention programs geared at older adults that address knowledge about HIV and risk reduction behaviors (e.g., Cornelius, Moneyham, & Legrand, 2008;Kral et al, 2000), and these could be attributed to the reduction of reported participation in HIV risk behaviors.…”
