The Chaotic Behavior of the Spread of Infection During the COVID-19 Pandemic in the United States and Globally

Abstract: In December 2019, China announced the breakout of a new virus identified as coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), which soon grew exponentially and resulted in a global pandemic. Despite strict actions to mitigate the spread of the virus in various countries, COVID-19 resulted in a significant loss of human life in 2020 and early 2021. To better understand the dynamics of the spread of COVID-19, evidence of its chaotic behavior in the US and globally was evaluated. A 0-1 test was used to analyze the time-series d… Show more

“…This can be attributed to the fact that doctors were given an important role in the COVID-19 vaccine incentive programme in our country and that the recommendations received from doctors are more convincing, as shown in our study. Sapkota et al showed that the COVID-19 epidemic demonstrates chaotic behaviour, and it is difficult to predict the dynamics of the pandemic in the long term [ 24 ]. Based on these data, health policies should be constructed based on the effects of the physician awareness effect on population behaviour.…”

“…With increasing incidences of emerging diseases such as COVID-19, for which immediate treatments were not available, the need for drugs to treat the disease became indispensable. With the SARS-CoV virus, mutating at a fast pace and affecting millions of people globally, there was a pressing need to address this issue by using all alternative approaches to discovering a drug [ 36 , 37 ]. In this light, drug repurposing came into the picture.…”

“…The quality of life due to COVID-19 has gotten worse, including increased anxiety and depression [119]. The chaotic behavior of COVID-19 has caused it to spread as a nonlinear infection throughout different parts of the world [120]. Certain places of the world have a larger number of infections, while some have lower numbers.…”
