Abstract: The substance prepared and described by Otto was not pure methyl-Pure methylmercuric acetate has been prepared by four differentThe parent base of the methylmercuric salts has been isolated. Methylmercuric acetate is found to be one of the products formed by the thermal decomposition of mercurous acetate in an atmosphere of nitrogen.
