Abstract: The cyclic dinucleotides (CDNs) cyclic diguanosine monophosphate (c-diGMP) and cyclic diadenosine monophosphate (c-diAMP) with two canonical 3'→5' internucleotide linkages are ubiquitous second messenger molecules in bacteria, regulating a multitude of physiological processes.
