“…In the United States, religious congregations are one of the largest nonprofit subsectors (Grammich et al, 2012) and an important conduit for nonprofit volunteers and donors (Ammerman, 2005;Bartkowski & Regis, 2003;Luria et al, 2017;Schnable, 2016).
