The clinical role of transesophageal echocardiography during transvenous lead extraction

Abstract: Background: Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) is commonly used during cardiothoracic procedures. TEE has also become standard during transvenous lead extraction (TLE) procedures, but its effect and role have not been optimally defined.
