“…In Montenegro, which is historically recognized as a habitat of above-average tall people (Bjelica et al, 2012;Milasinovic et al, 2016a,b;Grasgruber et al, 2017Grasgruber et al, , 2019, an increase in body height is also observable comparing average values at the beginning of the 20th century (Coon, 1939) with those from the 21st century (Popovic, 2017). However, increasing the average values of body height of successive generations is often considered to be a positive change, because some sources state that taller people may be more successful in school, earn more money, get better work positions, and similar (Popovic, 2018).…”

“…The dimensional relationship between body parts and the whole body height is difficult or impossible because of deformities of the trunk or legs, fractures, lower limb amputation or contractures in patients who are unable to stand [3]. In such circumstances, an estimate of body height has to be derived from other reliable anthropometric indicators such as forearm length [4], hand and foot lengths [5][6][7], arm span [2,[8][9][10][11][12][13][14], knee height [15][16][17], sternal height [18][19][20], length of vertebral column [18,21,22], sitting height [23][24][25], scapula length [26][27][28], cranium [29,30] and facial measurements [5,31,32]. Estimation of stature plays an important role in the identification of individuals [33].…”
