Purpose:Athlete must recognize and manage one's emotions, as well as their opponents and teammates emotions, in order to perform well in sports. the comparison of the expression of emotional skills among individual and team sports male athletes revealed that team sports male athletes have higher rate of self-awareness and self-regulation skills than individual sports male athletes (p < .05). Meanwhile, Student's t test for independent samples showed that there no significant differences between individual and team sports male athletes in terms of their abilities to express emotions, and self-esteem skills (p > .05). Conclusions:the findings of the quantitative study confirmed our research hypothesis that male athletes who compete in team sports will have more developed emotional skills than those in individual sports: team sports male athletes have more developed self-awareness and self-regulation skills than individual sports male athletes.

An empirical study to investigate the effects of thinking styles on emotional intelligence among employees of agriculture industry in east Azerbaijan province. The proposed study uses a standard thinking style questionnaire originally developed by Sternberg and Wagner (1992) [Sternberg, R. J., & Wagner, R. K. (1992). Thinking styles inventory. Unpublished test, Yale University]. There are 716 employees working for this agriculture-based unit and the study uses random sampling technique and chooses 255 employees for this study. Cronbach alpha has been used to verify the overall questionnaire and different tests such as Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Pearson correlation test are used to examine different hypotheses of this survey. The results indicate there is positive and meaningful relationship between thinking style and emotional intelligence. We can also confirm that four thinking style’s components including functions, levels, scope and learning have meaningful impact on emotional intelligence when the level of significance is five or even one percent. However, forms did not have any meaningful impact on emotional intelligence

Influence of Psychological Emotions on Cognitive Capacity of Taekwondo Athletes

Taekwondo helps to strength health and cultivate moral character. However, taekwondo athletes have different emotional states under competitive pressure, which may affect their cognitive capacity. Drawing on the theories of sports psychological emotion, this paper explores the psychological emotion of taekwondo athletes, and discusses how different psychological emotions affect the cognitive capacity of these athletes. Professional taekwondo athletes in Henan and Shandong were randomly sampled for a questionnaire survey, using a five-point scale. The survey results were subjected to detailed statistical analysis. The results show that taekwondo athletes produce negative psychology emotions under competitive pressure, such as anxiety, hostility and fear; positive emotion promotes the cognitive capacity of taekwondo athletes; positive and negative emotions differ greatly in their impacts on the cognitive capacity of taekwondo athletes. The research results lay the theoretical basis for the scientific training of taekwondo athletes.
