“…Growing up, I listened to rappers such as Tupac Shakur, Notorious B.I.G., and Mobb Deep. The culture of hip-hop and rap music reflects norms of misogyny and the pervasiveness of workplace mistreatment which is “built into the foundation of the music industry … culture and labor conditions create a perfect storm for abuse” (Domanick, 2018).
