Abstract: In the context of insulin resistance syndrome, which encompasses changes in lipid and carbohydrate metabolism, liver-related issues are now being closely examined alongside cardiovascular diseases. Our research aimed to evaluate the predictive importance of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) for identifying the likelihood of early atherosclerotic alterations in the carotid arteries.
