Abstract: Legumes, characterized by their ability to form symbiotic relationships with nitrogen‐fixing bacteria, play crucial roles in agriculture, ecology and human nutrition. Phosphatidylethanolamine‐binding proteins (PEBPs) are the key genetic players that contribute to the diverse biological functions of legumes.
