Abstract:The present paper is an attempt to discuss the marginalised voice of "the mother" figures in mainstream women writers of India like Shashi Deshpande, Kiran Desai, and Manju Kapoor belonging to different decades and has significantly projected the dimensions of the mother-daughter relationship.
