The cutaneous arterial supply of cervical skin in relation to axial skin flaps

Abstract: Summary. The arterial supply of cervical skin originating from the thyro-cervical trunk has been investigated in detail by dissection and intra-arterial dye studies in 15 preserved and 22 fresh cadavers.The significance of axial skin flaps is discussed with particular reference to an axial skin vessel in the supra-clavicular fossa, not previously described.
