Abstract: BACKGROUND: "Epilepsia Partialis Continua" is considered as the status epilepticus equivalent of simple partial motor seizures. First described by Kojewnikoff in 1894, this unique type of prolonged focal seizure continues to perplex neurologists for over a century now.
