Abstract: SUMMARYThe aim of thromboprophylaxis is to minimise the incidence of clinically relevant venous thromboembolism (VTE) but in many trials designed to determine the efficacy of thromboprophylactic agents, asymptomatic VTE is included in the primary endpoint.
