The detection and determination of organochlorine pesticide residues in wildlife with special reference to endrin

Abstract

A method, using thin-layer chromatography, is described for the separation of sub-nicrogram quantities of endrin from much larger quantities of HEOD (dieldrin) and pp'-DDE with subsequent accurate determination of the endrin by gas-liquid chromatography. The method is also suitable for the separation and determination of residues of the other organochlorine pesticides.
