“…I incorporate these discussions into Chapter 3 because they support what I had determined to be the best way to express the ideas of my research respondents and to present the voice of this particular group of women. I purposefully wanted to employ research practices that strive to break down the hierarchy of power that can develop between the interviewer and the interviewee (Bloom, 1998) and create a research atmosphere that fostered trust and equality between the women I interviewed and myself.
