The development of the market of qualified coal fuels in Poland

Abstract: The aim of this article is to discuss the changes that have been observed on the market of qualified coal fuels (the so-called eco-pea coal) over the last few years. These changes are related to the markets of both the producers and the products they offer. Qualified coal fuels are produced from selected lots of high-calorific coal. They are characterized by strictly defined repeatable physico-chemical parameters (low sulphur content, ash content, and agglomerating capacity) and they are dedicated for use in m… Show more

“…[9,10] The price of Li 2 CO 3 is expected to rise significantly due to the boom in lithium-ion batteries. [11,12] Multiple lithium extraction and recovery methods were carried out, and lithium is predominantly extracted from brine lake deposits and lithium minerals. [5,[13][14][15] Lithium minerals include spodumene, lepidolite, eucryptite, petalite, zinnwaldite, and others.…”

“…In the long term, the strategy of the European Union directed on hard coal reduction may lead to negative effects [14]. The most important criteria for purchasing coal by consumers is its price [15]. This situation is particularly evident today, during war between Russia and Ukraine, which led to a tremendous increase in the price of coal.…”
