Abstract:Transfusion-related acute lung injury (TRALI) is an undesired and potentially fatal complication of blood transfusion. Besides human neutrophil and leukocyte antigens of the donor blood; especially for red blood cell transfusions, nonantibody-mediated mechanisms seem responsible.
