The Dielectric Properties and Thermal Conductivities of Epoxy Composites Reinforced by Titanium Dioxide

Abstract: To improve the dielectric properties and thermal conductivities of epoxy resins (EP), titanium dioxide super ne powders with microspheres structure (S-TiO 2 ) were prepared via a hydrothermal process based on the sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate and hydroxyl silicate. The different content of S-TiO 2 was then employed as modi ers to add into EP resin to prepare the S-TiO 2 /EP composites. The structure and morphology of the prepared S-TiO 2 was observed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microsco… Show more

“…In the above studies, researchers added composite nanoparticles to lubricants through various methods to investigate the synergistic lubrication effects of mixed particles in lubricants. However, there are still some shortcomings in these studies (Jia et al , 2022). On the one hand, most scholars have only investigated the influence of mixed particles on the lubricant’s performance, lacking the analysis of the mechanism of mixed particle synergistic lubrication from the derivation of the influence of single particles on the lubricant’s performance (Rawat et al , 2021).…”

“…prepared epoxy‐based composites consisting of superfine powder of titanium dioxide (TiO 2 ) to enhance the dielectric constant. According to their experimental study, the dielectric constant increased from 3.2 to 3.8 at 100 Hz and the dielectric loss was still low for the 6% TiO 2 added epoxy composite 7 . In the case of strengthening the epoxy with ferroelectric ceramics, BaTiO 3 is one of the most utilized ceramics.…”

According to Dang et al, while the dielectric permittivity of epoxy/ BaTiO 3 composites prepared using an optimum amount of silane coupling agent increases with increasing ferroelectric ceramic additive, low loss tangent values can also be maintained.…”
