The digital image correlation method applied to studying the localization of the plastic deformation of an alluminum alloy electrolytically saturated with hydrogen
Abstract:The paper presents investigations of the effect of hydrogen embrittlement on the plastic flow. The studies are performed for test samples of aluminum alloy subjected to electrolytic hydrogenation in a three-electrode electrochemical cell at a controlled constant cathode potential using the Digital Image Correlation method. Diagrams of localized plasticity wave propagation through the length of the sample under deformation have been obtained. The deformation diagrams are examined for the deformed samples of the… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
