Abstract:In this paper, the distortion of laser beams in the burst of a burst mode dye laser at 10 kHz repetition rates is researched dynamically. The distortion caused by the thermal lens effects is shown when the repetition rates surpass 2.5 kHz, and is observed emerging 100 μs after the first pulse in the burst. The deflection angles between the laser beams of the first pulse in the burst and each pulse in the burst are measured to describe the distortion.
