“…IAPT services were encouraged to consider digital and remote care (NHS England, 2020) with examples of remote technologies highlighted such as: mobile messaging (including WhatsApp and Telegram); and video conferencing (Skype, WhatsApp and Facetime). Bauer-Staeb et al (2021) analyse data from five IAPT services and report the number of people entering IAPT dropped by 74% in the initial 3 weeks after lockdown in the UK, with a 28% reduction compared to pre-COVID periods by May 2020.
