The Economic Aspects of the Metropolitan Region

Abstract: In the very nature of the title of this article, there are perhaps three major problems which ought to be clarified. First, perhaps, is the importance of the region, especially the "natural" region. This receives attention elsewhere in this symposium and is relatively the least important point in my discussion although it will deserve some attention. The second is the distinction between metropolitanism and other aspects of regionalism which are of importance especially from the economic point of view. This al… Show more

“…After the re-assembly step, a complete circular mitogenome or partial linear mitogenome contigs were obtained from each species. The completeness of these mitogenome sequences were tested by LASTZ [ 81 ] and by comparison with two published mitogenomes (NC_000887: Cz. merolae 10D, NC_024666: G. sulphuraria 074 W).…”

“…The W-linked scaffolds were then aligned to the pseudo-chrZ using lastz 80 , after masking repetitive sequences. Sequence similarity of the alignments between the chrZ and chrW was calculated by the script pslScore from UCSC Genome Browser (https://genome.ucsc.edu/).…”

“…WY10. We first performed whole genome alignment using LASTZ Release 1.04.00 [ 17 ] with chain and MUMmer (version 3.23) [ 18 ]. We used F4 as the target genome and aligned EPa45 and WY 10 with it ( Fig 9 ).…”
