“…In 13 out of the 20 studies psychological interventions were found to reduce psychological stress in individuals or couples (Chan et al, 2012;Chan et al, 2006;Cousineau et al, 2008;Domar et al, 2000b;Galhardo et al, 2013;Haemmerli et al, 2010;Matthiesen et al, 2012;McNaughton-Cassill et al, 2002;Peterson & Eifert, 2011;Sexton et al, 2010;Sherratt & Lunn, 2013;Tarabusi et al, 2004;Terzioglu, 2001). Among these 13 studies, five adopted the CBT approach (Domar et al, 2000b;Haemmerli et al, 2010;McNaughton-Cassill et al, 2002;Sexton et al, 2010;Tarabusi et al, 2004), three adopted the ACT approach (Galhardo et al, 2013;Peterson & Eifert, 2011;Sherratt & Lunn, 2013), two adopted the BMS (Chan et al, 2012;Chan et al, 2006), one adopted counseling (Terzioglu, 2001), one used an online educational program (Cousineau et al, 2008), and one adopted expressive writing (Matthiesen et al, 2012).…”
