Abstract: Asphericity and out-of-roundness are generally used to evaluate the manufacturing quality of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) cup inner surfaces, which can potentially affect initial clinical wear and contribute to osteolysis of total hip arthroplasty.
