Abstract:Purpose: To evaluate the effect of a salivary phosphate binder "Chitosan" in a chewable form on serum and salivary levels of phosphate, calcium and urea in a group of hyperphosphatemic, hemodialysis pediatric patients suffering from end stage renal disease.
