Abstract: The study presents the results of the research into the effect of the dynamic properties of inverter and diode power sources of welding arc power supply on the stability of melting and transfer of electrode metal into the weld pool. The principal energy parameters of the power source include the rates of rise and fall of short-circuit current, the ratio of arc burning current to short-circuit current, and other related factors.
