“…In the present study, it was demonstrated that the majority of HPs had no prior training towards death management, either in a professional or personal level, and those who were trained believed that courses were inadequate. Death education helps HPs to become familiar with death, adopt a professional attitude, develop communication and empathy skills, acquire confidence and competence in death management and besides, teaches HPs how to cope positively with grief (Dodd et al, 2020; Gocmen Baykara et al, 2020).
