“…Upaya konservasi tanah yang dilakukan di kampung Cibeureum bersamaan dengan konservasi air. Hal ini disebabkan konservasi tanah merupakan kesatuan tidak terpisahkan dengan konservasi air (Hu et al, 2022). Konservasi tanah dan air yang dilakukan bersamaan dapat meningkatkan hasil pertanian dan mengurangi air run off dan kehilangan tanah, serta memperbaiki ekosistem (Adimassu et al, 2017).…”

“…The Mollisol region of Northeast China (often called black soils) is one of the four Mollisol regions globally and plays a pivotal role in national grain production in China (Liu et al, 2012). However, this region is experiencing severe soil degradation due to soil erosion, excessive reclamation, and adverse management practices (Hu et al, 2022; Wang et al, 2021). The prevalence of soil degradation in the region breaks the soil water and air balance, decreases soil fertility, decreases soil quality, and thereby compromises the agricultural production capacity (Liu et al, 2010; Wen et al, 2021; Yang et al, 2022).…”

“…The prevalence of soil degradation in the region breaks the soil water and air balance, decreases soil fertility, decreases soil quality, and thereby compromises the agricultural production capacity (Liu et al, 2010; Wen et al, 2021; Yang et al, 2022). In addition, the Mollisol region contains a rich soil organic carbon (SOC) stock (Hu et al, 2022), and serious soil degradation accelerates the depletion of SOC in this region, which is admittedly related to global warming (Garbowski et al, 2023; Li & Han, 2016). Therefore, necessary and urgent measures are needed to combat soil degradation, particularly when extreme climate events are perceptible.…”
