Research indicates multiple benefits of group counseling, including social support (e.g., peer support), social skills rehearsal, self‐efficacy and intrinsic motivation enhancement, and universality (Clark, Severy, & Sawyer, ; Damer et al, ; Dennis, Phinney, & Chuateco, ; Fitch, Marshall, & McCarthy, ; Mattanah et al, ; Waldo, Kerne, & Kerne, ; Yalom, ).
