“…During the annealing, one side of the ribbon was in the air (the air-side) and the other side was located on the substrate (the wheel-side), which may result in the difference in the crystalline layers thickness. The assumption on the different thickness of the crystalline layers has been verified recently by means of the off-diagonal magnetoimpedance measurements for the ribbons with the surface layers removed by etching at one side [34]. It has been observed that the evolution of the offdiagonal magnetoimpedance response differs significantly for the air-side etched and wheel-side etched ribbons.…”
